Events || The Rogue Song

I have a special place in my heart for the performing arts so when Tempo approached me to photograph their latest venture, I was all in. Tempo is the MN Opera’s group for young professionals and because I’ve been to events in years past, I knew that this latest project was going to be BIG in a major way.

The Rogue Song “turned back the clock to a Prohibition-era speakeasy” and was every bit the glamour and glitz of what we could only imagine the 1920’s to be.  The gentleman came out in full suits and the ladies donned some fabulous vintage dresses, furs, handbags and accessories from great local designers like L’Avenir Design.  Included in the evening were opera performances, beautifully choreographed dances, and Alice Sydow of I’ve Got Your Style provided awards to the evenings best dressed male and female party goers.  I even got to strut some of my flapper fashions and had a great time doing it.  A huge thank you to Tempo for including me in your amazing event!

Gorgeous family …. Gorgeous light ….

Newborn || Ellie

Lindsey and I have known each other for over six years and we’ve experienced a lot of life’s little wonders together.  Tough career decisions, a handful of personal difficulties and lots of girl-talk have made our just “acquaintances” status turn into a long-term friendship.  My main squeeze and I have formed a bond with Lindsey and her husband Nick – and now, baby Ellie.  I was completely honored to shoot Lindsey’s maternity pictures this summer in her hometown of Mosinee, Wisconsin, so it only made sense that I would have to capture images of baby Ellie now that she was finally in the flesh.

Baby Ellie – welcome to the world.  You’ve got an awesome set of parents and I can’t wait to watch you grow up – try not to do it too fast though, okay?  Thanks.
