Claire + TJ || Green Acres Barn Wedding

Claire + TJ came to me before they were even engaged knowing very well that their across-state-lines romance was truly something special. Claire was from Minneapolis and TJ from Wisconsin – if you know anything about me its that I can relate to these types of “long distance” relationships. From the beginning I knew that there was something unique about the bond that Claire and TJ had with one another. The way they talked about each other when the other wasn’t present, the way TJ lit up when Claire would enter the room – all of it emitted sparks that not all couples have. It was such a pleasure working with a couple who rock this type of electrifying love, we should all be so lucky to find a partner like Claire and TJ have found in each other.

Brand New

As I sit down to write this post, I cannot even think of where to begin my story. To say the last couple years has been a whirlwind is a complete understatement. From finally pursuing my passions, meeting new & creative friends, to marrying my husband & moving to Wisconsin, its crazy to think that all of THIS has happened in such a short amount of time. Though I’m a believer in fate playing its hand in how life turns out, I’m an even bigger believer in hard work and hustling to make your life how you want it to be. The dream is free people, but the hustle is sold separately.

There is so much more that I want to share with you, but today you get to see the unveiling of my beautiful new website designed by MaeMae and Co. Working with Megan and her team of creatives has been so inspiring and the most rewarding thing I’ve done to convey who I am as a photographer and as a person. This website is SO ME and speaks to my design aesthetic to a T. I hope that you’ll stick around and take a peek at the new and exciting things that are coming your way. Thank you for your continued support and cheers to a brand new beginning!

Married || Kolu + Ray

As my last wedding for 2013, Kolu and Ray’s St. Paul, Minnesota wedding was and always will be one of my personal favorites. The rich Liberian culture and traditional elements they wanted to maintain (i.e. jumping over the broom, lively Liberian music, etc.) was the backdrop to their momentous occasion. I loved that their main focus was on their family, friends and FUN. I mean, a LOT of FUN. So much so that their grand entrance was to FUN!’s “We Are Young.”  I tried to imagine what a grand entrance might be like to such an unconventional song, but when the moment happened – major sparks. It was perfect.

Kolu and Ray, congratulations on your beautiful marriage. Thank you for letting me be a part of big day and for ending my 2013 season with a bang.
